Job Market

It's been interesting lately. I've been starting to poke around the job market. I've started seeing a bunch of former coworkers, current ones, and school friends get new roles. Whether they switched or had been laid off, the job market in High Finance, BB, and even CRE is turning, it seems. Consulting firms and the Quasi government have posted a ton of jobs.

Has anyone else noticed this?

I'm also seeing low-pay bands. I've even seen a couple of jobs at my level or above, and currently, my base is as much as their comp package. Is anyone else noticing there has been a pullback in Salaries offered? Are they rushing to the market to get previously laid-off experienced workers for cheaper before the market flips? I don't see a strong job market coming back for a bit, at least till the big seven correct, the election is over, and we have 3-4 rate cuts.
