Joining a company that is restructuring

I have a couple of years of experience in corporate finance at a consumer products company. In about three weeks, I will be joining a very big company as an Associate in their Treasury department (media related).

This company is one of the biggest in its industry but is also going through a lot of changes. Because of the technological shifts, there are smaller companies that offer better services and get the job done quicker. Thus, the company I am joining is starting to divest some of the companies they own.

Working in the treasury department, will this give me good experience to transfer into p/e or banking in the future?
