Lateral Into IB From Private Markets Analyst?
Looking for some guidance on breaking into IB from this role. Worked in FP&A for 10 months out of college and now have worked as a Private Markets Analyst for around half a year and am in the process of trying to lateral into an IB Analyst role.
In the PM Analyst role, I evaluate PE funds and assign them ratings, while also recreating DCF and LBO models to assist in validating the PE firms' assumptions. Have been networking with MM and regional boutiques to try to break into the industry, but am curious if there is a better approach I should be targeting?
