Looking for Career Advice (Genuine)

I have recently applied to SA26 positions and now that the season is largely over, I am stuck with nothing. Not sure what I am doing wrong, as (to give context):

  • Target school, 4.0 GPA
  • active + leadership roles in investing clubs (with successful pitches), M&A club, and other leadership positions
  • know the technicals and make models (alongside the investing club)
  • networked

Obviously I cannot disclose too much, but here are the rounds that I got to:

  • Fidelity ER, 2 rounds in
  • Union Square, 3 rounds in
  • Point72 & Weiss AM, past case study/to case study
  • HVs here and there but did not pass any of the HVs (eg JPM, GS...)

I didn't think I was even too bad at interviews, my friend sat thru one and said it seemed to go well right before I got rejected (HR, not technical at all).

What do you recommend doing? I am genuinely so passionate about this and I know my grades and school are good, I know that my analysis cannot be that bad considering my investments and pitches have been solid... I feel lost and distraught, especially considering many people I know got so much further and they don't even know how to do a DCF. How should I change things up? My goal is ultimately HF (for comp but mainly because it seems so much more interesting than IB/private markets). Please send serious recommendations, thank you!
