McKinsey vs Perella Weinberg Partners

Hi I receive full time offers from both McKinsey and Perella Weinberg Partners in London. Which one would you choose? Which has the better exit options and which offer ist better for business school in the USA?

Congratulations on receiving two excellent offers. In terms of "exit options," it really depends what you are interested in.

If you fancy yourself going into industry, or perhaps more boldly one day becoming a CEO of a Fortune 500 company, it probably doesn't get much better than McKinsey. I believe there was a topic recently on "most powerful alumni networks" (you can search for it), and McKinsey was mentioned as having a very strong network that you can tap into even long after you leave them for other endeavors.

If private equity, venture capital or hedge funds are more what you are interested in, then I would suggest going with Perella Weinberg Partners.

Both firms offer excellent placement into US business schools - so that should not be a major consideration. Two of PWP's founding partners are HBS alums, so I'm sure HBS accepts a number of students from PWP each year. The same goes for McKinsey.
