MM Interviews

Hey everyone, was generally wondering how re-interviewing works at multi managers (specifically citadel, p72, millennium, bam). If you botch your first shot at a pod, is it possible to interview at other pods? At what stage in a process, beginning, middle or end, would be more of an issue and possibly prevent you from interviewing with other pods at the same shop?

Based on the most helpful WSO content, it seems that the interview process at multi-manager shops like Citadel, Point72, and Millennium can be quite extensive and rigorous. It often involves multiple rounds of interviews, sometimes as many as 8-10, spread out over several months.

If you don't succeed in your first attempt at a pod, it's not explicitly stated whether you can interview at other pods within the same firm. However, it's important to note that these firms often have a strong focus on team fit and the specific skills and knowledge required for each pod. Therefore, it's possible that your suitability for other pods could be considered.

As for the stage of the process that might prevent you from interviewing with other pods, it's not clearly specified. However, it's reasonable to assume that the further you progress in the interview process with one pod, the more committed you are perceived to be to that specific team, which could potentially impact your chances with other pods.

Remember, each firm and even each pod within a firm can have its own unique culture and expectations, so it's crucial to do your research and prepare thoroughly for each interview. Good luck!
