Need Advice - Currently a junior majoring in accounting

Hey guys i need some advice on what should i do if i want to get into the IBanking industry. I am currently a junior majoring in accounting in Baruch College-Cuny with a 3.2 GPA; for extracurricular I am part of NAASA(National Asian American Society of Accountants)and Investment banking club. I also have over 4 years of working experience. I am from a non-target school, although the BB does visit my school but they only offer Back office position.

Question:

1) What can i do to land an front office (IB)summer internship with either the MM or BB?

2) Out of the 4 years of experience i have 1 year that i work as a Chief Financial Officer assistant and since 2005 till now working as a tax intern in Grant Thornton LLP. Does these experience help me on my IB internship search?

3) what step can i take next?

3.2 from a non target is going to hurt you. You need to raise your GPA to at least 3.5

Besides MM you should also try boutique. It's going to be hard to get a BB internship from a non-target w/o superb GPA. Basically apply to as many MM and boutique as you can. Network might be difficult for you if you don't have many IB alums.

lehman is a MM? do you have any idea what you are talking about???
