I'd go Yale. The downside to choosing Yale is missing out on a few buyside opportunities that are exclusive to Wharton, but I'd give that up 10/10 days of the week to steer clear of the backstabbing hardos at Wharton. College is much more fun when you don't have to worry about your job relying on the interviews for student orgs and internships you do freshman year when you want to just fuck around. Every Wharton kid I've met has sucked (there's likely a few fun kids, but those are the ones whose last name guarantees them a job regardless of what they do in college)

Appreciate the input so far...I was hesitant about posting this question because people take you as douchey when you ask about splitting hairs on two great places. I worked hard in school.and was lucky..I know schools aren't the main factor, hell shit load of successful people went to their state school..most did probably..right now I'm committed to Yale.. I just got accepted off waitlist at Wharton and had two weeks to reply..I'll likely stay put at Yale..unless I get off Harvard's waitlist this week then forget both those places..anyway thanks for any more input from people who actually are working with these folks.. appreciate it!

Wouldn't necessarily agree with the assessments above. OP, if your single most important metric is "IB Opportunity" or finance-related opportunities, it's Wharton, no-brainer. It's really not a bias to describe how strong the community, alumni network, and brand name is for finance recruiting is.

But OP, I advise you to base your choice off of more than that. Think about if you want to be in New Haven or Philaldephia. Get a feel for the social life. The extracurricular opportunities. whether you want to join a greek org etc. This isn't mentioned as much, but think about housing and transportation to classes / activities. Think about how dedicated you are to finance, and if you aren't, which school would be better for alternatives. I'd caution you to avoid the generalizations of the student body in the comments above. There are bad apples in every community and incredibly diverse and exciting microcosms at both schools.

Congrats on the acceptances!

Wharton was off waitlist..into Yale regular decision..also on waitlist at Harvard. Got into Princeton regular decision but turned it down..nice place but didn't see the glory in grinding for 4 years doing good solid work and still being issued a 3.6..while friends at Harv/Yale show up at same interview with their 3.9 GPA..I just pictured me walking out interview thinking " wonder if they know Princeton is really hard" simultaneously envisioning interviewing firm saying " we really don't give a shit if it's hard" many thought I was wrong to shoot down Princeton, but I think that will be proven wrong..any way thanks.
