NEED HONEST OPINIONS: Is this a bad idea? GPA scheme for SA applications

Posting under throwaway for obvious reasons. So here's the story: I'm a non-target soph and will hopefully be working for a MM boutique this summer. I'll be applying to most BB/EBs for summer 2021, though I am focusing on some of them more than others due to connections.

The issue is that my GPA is shit. Had some major personal reasons, but don't think recruiters/HR people care. Right now my overall GPA is around a low-mid 3, BUT my "major GPA" is a mid-high 3, and have a perfect "minor GPA". However, my school doesn't actually have major/minors (you don't actually claim it), and our transcript only says overall GPA. These major/minor GPAs are based upon the grades in the couple classes I took that are related to my "major and minor".

Mainly, I am wondering if I could just put down my "major" and "minor" GPAs on the applications and on my resume, and not put my cumulative. Have a bunch of past internship experience, so I'm hoping this will outweigh my grades to some extent. Just wondering if this could really screw me if (I hopefully) get an offer or even later on for full-time positions, and especially with transcript/background verification. Of course I know that this is very shady, but I won't get interviews anywhere with my overall GPA (and especially being from a non-target) so am wondering what you guys think.

Because the connections aren't crazy. I'm still going to have to go through the formal recruiting process, and no guarantees at an interview.

I don't really know how someone would consider this a GPA "scheme." You aren't lying, you're just omitting/hiding what your actual GPA is. You're more likely to get your resume tossed
