Description
Financial and Non Financial Analysis:
• Financial Analysis including planning, QRM/BLM, flash/actual commentary, benchmarking (PBC Asia incl. HXB/HBB investments)
• Support of PBC Asia strategic projects (business case prep, project tracking, etc.)
• Prep of GIC, GEC updates on PBC strategic investments/projects
• Benchmark divisional performance (across competitors and other businesses/divisions)
• Develop and embed regular client profitability reporting
• Conduct analyses such as: event/post mortem, trend, ratio, and variance.
• Enhance the country franchise reporting around the region ( Country benchmarking , local competitor review etc)
• Responsible for constantly enhancing the operational excellence around existing products and actively contribute towards developing new insightful analysis
Decision Support:
• Establish a standard framework for decision making (e.g. types of parameters to be used, standard templates and processes) in conjunction with business partners and other relevant stakeholders
• Participate in providing input to key growth initiatives in the region
• Support the New product approval process for the businesses
• Develop scenarios and stress test the proposition(s)
• Identify and categorize key risks associated with a decision
• Determine the impact of a decision on key business constraints/drivers including regulatory and economic capital, taxation, balance sheet usage and profitability
• Provide an overall ‘Finance’ opinion on the desirability of a decision
Budgeting, Planning and Forecasting:
• Enhance planning framework & support
• Stress test the planning assumptions and business drivers
• Conduct Shareholder value analysis
• Determine granularity of required data and appropriate planning horizon(s)
• Create scenarios, preliminary analysis and conduct statistical analysis
• Contribute towards monitoring the firm’s Strategic targets in the region
• Determine impact of key scenarios on market expectations and the firm’s valuation
• Determine warning thresholds and parameters
• Provide input to Decision Support and Corporate Investment/Divestment Support functions
• Review and if necessary update plans and forecasts
Cost Analytics
• Benchmark against competitors or other external organisations
• Conduct activity based management (costing) and variance analysis
• Differentiate direct and indirect costs
• Conduct trend and root cause analysis
• Monitor and investigate outliers or negative trends
• Provide Inputs to the complexity reduction initiative in the region
