I’m networking relentlessly these days before being closed out of the hiring window. I’m making progress (received two interviews so far) but based on your experience, how many ppl out of 10 should I expect to hear back from? I’m getting 1/20 lol. Career coach said I’m doing it right but 1/20 seems pretty awful.

Ah, the networking hustle! Based on the most helpful WSO content, the response rate can vary quite a bit. Some folks have reported a response ratio between 1/3 and 1/4. However, remember that not everyone who responds will necessarily result in a good chat or lead to opportunities. The ones who are willing to pass your CV to HR or tell you about opportunities might be around 15-20% of the total you contact.
So, if you're getting 1 out of 20 responses, don't be too disheartened. Networking is a numbers game, but it's also about quality. Keep refining your approach, be tactful, considerate, and show that you're intelligent and humble. And remember, even if the response rate seems low, it only takes one good connection to open the right door. Keep swinging from those branches, my friend!

Right now it’s around 2-5%. I had the same issues before I landed
depends. I used to hit maybe 10% response rate when mass spamming and 1 in 3 when the networking stuff was way more targeted and well written
