No Internship, No Offers, No Hope??

Hey y’all this is my first post. I’ve been reading through a bunch of the forums and realize that others are in very similar spots however I’m really struggling getting traction finding any job whatsoever.

For some background, I’m a senior at an extreme non-target (think small liberal arts school no one has heard of). A big part of the reason I went there is because I was awarded an academic scholarship that pays for about 3/4 of my schooling, and by working I can make up the rest so I’ll graduate with no debt. I get great grades and enjoy the ideas and math behind financial concepts. I am the TA and Tutor for the Managerial Finance class and will be doing an investments internship for the school next semester.

This past summer after getting no IB/PE/CorpFin/Any finance related internship, I did a short internship at my uncle’s law firm as I am considering law school sometime down the line. I thought doing this would be better than nothing, but I worry that no matter what I did I was screwed from the get go.

So far after spending time applying for jobs in basically everything (Banking, PE, CorpFin, Operations, Strategy, hell even the DEA and FBI), all I’ve gotten so far is rejection or no response at all.

I’m kind of lost and stressed the hell out. I’ve had multiple professors tell me that I’ll be fine and that I have the skills to do whatever I want, but just because I did well in their class doesn’t mean anyone else cares. Not that there’s anything wrong with working for McDonalds, I would just rather not flip burgers with a bachelor’s after I busted my ass for a good gpa for 4 years. I’ve done construction and landscaping in the past, and I was hoping a degree would allow me to move away from doing manual labor.

Any thoughts? Advice? Criticisms? Should I just say screw it and enlist in the army since they’ll take anyone?

Here's the deal, it is ultra-competitive and almost everywhere is on hiring freezes or at the very least slowing down. Don't lose hope! You haven't even graduated yet so keep on applying and network your ass off. You've made it this far already you won't be at a Mcdonalds I promise you. I went to a small lib arts school too and had a crap GPA and I figured it out somehow. Just keep chopping away, one day the tree will fall.
