No reply after second round

I've been in the interview process for a VC (informal process, got through with cold emailing) and was supposed to hear back by the end of last week. I know it's been Easter weekend and everything, and I followed up yesterday when it was a week from the second round, but haven't heard a single thing. The person I interviewed with said that they'd get back to me and didn't specify if it was regardless of whether or not I got the internship. Did I get rejected?

Easter and Passover are huge holidays in finance. Totally reasonable that getting back to you would have slipped off someone’s desk. Give it another week.

It hasn't been that long. Give it some more time.

Thanks guys, appreciate all the insight. Would it be too pushy to follow up again or ask the MD that put me through the process in the first place next week?

Well you should never consider yourself that you got rejected before following up for the interview that you had. Sometimes post-interview takes some time so never feel upset and do not hurry. For this you can simply do follow up so you will get an idea whether you have to stay with it or should look for applying somewhere.

Thanks, but I actually got the internship - they just took a long time figuring out how to put me on their payroll (I offered to work unpaid so I wasn't expecting it).
