Offer Advice - PC or IB

Hi All,

Was looking for some advice on which offer to take for my full time job out of college.

Offer 1) is from a MM US-HQ IB covering power and infrastructure. Mandates are a lot of project finance, renewables M&A.

Offer 2) is from a private credit shop with c.$6bn AUM with an extremely flexible investment mandate and rotational program across strategies. Huge range in cheque size up to 200m-300m. Additional possibility of some equity deals - would definitely see at least 1 during my time there.

My perspective at the moment is that I would rather start off at the private credit shop due to broader range of deals, better mentorship and actually deploying capital rather than advising.

However, I want to know more about what my exit opps would look like from both after the standard 2 years. E.G. from PC would I have a shot at PE? Would my buyside opportunities be better and more varied after 2 years at MM IB than PC?

Where have a lot of PC folks exited to after 2 years?

Greatly appreciate everyone's time and input. Very interested in PC but just don't know a lot about where it'll leave me down the line.
