Pass / Fail on the transcript

Would love some insights on this...our school does the summa cum laude designation based on graduating in the top x%. I'm a tad outside this threshold and have the option to pass/fail two classes that weren't part of my major or minor. If I pass/failed these classes, I think I could squeeze into the top x%.

Already have a gig lined up for after graduation and haven't decided on whether I want to go the MBA route down the road. I've heard mixed things on how pass/fail looks on the transcript. If I were to pass/fail two classes, they would be classes unrelated to econ/finance/acct from the fresh yr party days.
