Personal Problems; Need Advice

So I had an internship at one of the brokerage firms of a BB bank. Worked there my freshman year, summer, and in the beginning of this year. In the beginning of the year, I began to have personal problems and it began affecting my work and school work. My boss (who I'm pretty close with) noticed, and suggested I take time off and go to therapy. It's been about a month and half since, and I'm going to therapy right now, and I'm getting things back on track. He's asking me if I want to come back and I really don't know if the added stress would be worth it, especially because it may harm all the adjustment progress I've had in the past few weeks. On the other hand I really don't want these problems to harm my professional life like this. Really don't know what to do...

if the last 3 weeks have helped in terms of easing those personal problems, work is always a good way to get your mind off of things. but buddyfox is right, you gotta call the plays on this one.
