Philosophy major needing guidance
Rising senior at a non target state school. 3.9 gpa in philosophy, no relevant financial coursework. Was super set on law school, oriented my entire undergrad around it. Then realized law school sucks and is getting disgustingly competitive thanks to economy + Trump presidency and people’s save the world complex…Some decent politics internships. Only finance “experience” is budgeting for student government. Looking to snag prestige and thus break into HF with an MBA since I missed out on undergrad. Quite strong social skills..assume I’m at least intelligent enough to secure M7 stats..(GPA ✅, my LSAT PTs were golden). What steps do I take? Looked into MFin, seems too technical/quant focused. Assuming MBA is the route for me, which entry level spot should I aim for?

Am also a Philosophy major albeit from a target uni. I think an M7 MBA is a good idea. I won't comment on entry spot but HFs known to appreciate Phil. degrees include Renaissance Technologies, D.E. Shaw, Bridgewater Associates, Two Sigma, and Citadel / Citadel Securities. If you did any modules in formal logic then would try Jane Street too.
Notable formal logic coursework. Jane Street, Citadel, Renaissance from a non target seems like a crapshoot though.
Yes, chances are slim without, say, a Stanford MBA on your resume.
