proactive self-pitch business plan / how to play your own game
One of the tricks I've used to get hired (and I've jumped a fair few times) is that I walk in to the interview with a deck outlining the industry, my business plan for the work I'm going to take on, etc.
No longer is just sending your CV in enough.
Rather I show up with a portfolio of my previous work, research on the industry that I've compiled, and a business plan on how I'm going to execute this role /tasks / lead the team going forward.
That way I'm not competing against others, but rather laying out the plan for a role I'm creating, and pitching it as a business solution to the company.
Anyone else use this hack?
I'd be keen to exchange notes.
