Quantitative Finance Summer Internship Advice
Any advice on getting finance (specifically financial engineering and quantitative finance) internships? I've had a fairly strong interest in coding for a while. I got good enough that my level of prowess has been described by some programmers as roughly as good as they were after they had finished their degree. I have reasonable ability in machine learning. More recently, I've been into quantitative finance. I have a personal investment account which consistently beats the market (average 5% monthly return, I don't usually keep a given security longer than half a month), but more importantly my quantopian models get a (admittedly nothing beyond decent) 30% annual return. I have a ~3.9 GPA and a 1320 SAT score, so academic requisites probably won't be a problem.
Play some video games or hit on some girls dude. Just keep improving your coding and read the wsj and you'll be more than good.
