Real Estate/Construction Lending or Asset Based Lending

In your opinion which is better (in terms of hours, pay, future posabilities)?

Real Estate is a real money maker but I feel the skills in asset based lending (including sponsor lending) are more transferable outside of the hot markets like SF and NYC.
