Received a Pre-Adverse Action Notice from a BB

Hi everyone,

I recently got an offer from a boutique bank contingent on passing the background checks. Now I received a pre-adverse action notice from the bank as a result of social media background checks. The social media background check report contained flagged posts from my old twitter account. These were posts that I liked. Some of these posts had the F word and words like "shit" but they were not used in a harmful or inappropriate context. How do I go about this?

Crazy. Hope its nothing too bad.

Just curious, is this common across banks? Passed the background checks for a BB, was not informed that they would check my social media

I honestly think it depends on the bank. I was made aware that there would be a social media check but I don’t even have access to the Twitter account they included in my report. It’s an old account.

For reference sake, this was one of the flagged posts that I liked. “Adulting is fucking tiring”

I think you’re good then. Just say some remorse and that you’ve matured since then or whatever I guess
