Recent graduate struggling
Graduated from a top-50 Boston school in May (think northeasten, BU, BC) majoring in finance and I'm struggling to find a job. I have previous investment banking internships at boutiques (no return offer because they were downsizing). Hell I can't even make it out of the first round of an interview yet. I've tailored my resume/cover letter, used career services, and networked my ass off but I'm still struggling and losing hope. It sucks seeing my peers so ahead of me and I'm losing faith and patience. My parents have even suggested joining the military if things don't work out. For anyone that is going through or has gone through the same thing how did you deal with it?

Give it time. It’s a numbers game, apply to as many opportunities as you can. Might take a year to land something but once you do it will be worth it
There’s definitely a gap between getting a job in finance and the military, keep ur hopes up and you’ll find something 🔥🔥 you sound like a hard worker and don’t get discouraged.
Same position as you! Graduated with a 3.8 from a t-10 college. More luck getting interviews lately but it is def a struggle out here, lol.
