scratch paper in zoom ib interviews
is it fine if i ask during my interviews to write some numbers down for some of the more numerical techs? or does it look bad
asking for like when they give rsus, conv bonds, stock options, exercise price, shares price, etc and dont wanna forget any numbers but also don't know if its appropriate to even ask if i can write the math out
thanks!
Based on the most helpful WSO content, it's generally acceptable to ask if you can jot down numbers during a Zoom interview, especially for numerical technical questions. It shows that you're methodical and want to ensure accuracy. However, the key is to ask politely and professionally. For example, you could say, "Would it be alright if I take a moment to write these numbers down to ensure I calculate this correctly?"
This approach demonstrates your attention to detail and professionalism. Just make sure you have a clean sheet of paper or a notepad ready to avoid fumbling, and keep your workspace organized to maintain a professional impression.
