Serious career change advice needed

Hello everyone, At the age of 25 I had a short venture into the financial markets industry in my home country in Eastern Europe, having worked as a market maker for 6 months, and then as a futures prop trader in a small shop that went bust after 9 months. Since then I've been working in healthcare industry in the UK, as my formal education dictates, with a goal of saving up enough capital to be an independent trader. However, now I realise this is not achievable this way. I am a more mature, sensible man now. I know my strengths and weaknesses better. My ideal job would meet the following criteria: - work in front of the trading screen - minimal person-to-person contact - preferably by phone or email only; - not having to "push" any financial products to anyone, especially retail clients - salary unrelated to what the market does - it has to be a job, providing salary no matter what - not "eat what you kill" situation in a prop shop.

I would be extremely grateful if you could give me a few hints by simply naming the positions I should pursue. The only ones that come to my mind are: FX dealer in a bank and sales-trader on the sell-side (I could actually see them at work when I was a market maker). In other words, someone like traders in the "Margin Call" movie shown during executing a "fire sale" of toxic assets. Once I know the names of the positions, I can then think of how to achieve this goal.

I am now 32 but I will be 34 when I could start changing my career due to some commitments in the next 2 years that require me to keep my current job. Do I stand any chance of securing my dream job with regard to my age?
