Shifting from second-tier consulting firm to first year analyst program
I graduated in May 2012 and have been working at a second-tier large consulting firm (typically IT consulting) doing strategy and operations work for the past year. I worked as an intern after my junior year and received a FT offer. I have decided that I would like to make the shift over to finance, specifically IB, preferably M&A. I am not set on a BB, and would be happy with a MM or a boutique.
Does anyone have any experience making this type of move? Do I need to fall in cycle with undergraduate analyst recruiting?
I have already started networking, but wanted to get a general sense for where I need to fall in the cycle of things.
Just made the switch myself from a tier 2 consulting to a MM Real Estate IB role. PM if you have any questions
interested in this as well...
