Should I take this offer?

So for context: I enrolled into the audit program in one of the big 4s straight out of undergrad, thinking that the accounting qualification, ACA, would be beneficial to my career. I am currently nowhere near finishing the qualification but the non-analytical aspect of auditing is not really appealing to me. I got an offer for a trainee Investment Analyst role at an asset manager. Their funds are doing really well in the past 5 years or so (they have around 20-30 years of history only), but the problem is that they are relatively unknown and doesn't even have a LinkedIn page.

This is a risky move but the pay rise is close to 50% and investment analysis sounds way more interesting than auditing, in my opinion at least.

So I'm trying to gather some thoughts. Guys let me know what you all think - assuming that I want to be an Investment Analyst or Equity Researcher in the future, would I be in a better position in say 2-2.5 years with an ACA, or with 2-2.5 years of actual experience in the industry (without name brand)?

And I guess another question is that how small is too small of a fund? I obviously don't want to join a fund that is about to close down.
