Wtf 2 kids lying out of 70 students is still a lot and a big problem. I go to a target and a kid reneged an offer from an EB to go to MF PE a couple years ago and we haven't sent a kid to that EB ever since. And this is so much worse than reneging an offer lmao this would be a problem anywhere not just at Kelley. The fact that you're saying that if this happened at an ivy it would be overlooked goes to show how much of a meme Kelley is😂

I think you have to look individually at the firms in question. PWP might not take another IU kid, Moelis will continue to take IU kids there is a strong pipeline there, and GS is a whole different story because they are a BB so they will still give kids looks.

Controversial

Am a AS at Moelis. I know those who facilitate the IB Club "pipeline." Will say changes are in progress and we will not be recruiting actively from IU Kelley. The latter is still in the works but HR is handling it.

Thank you for WSO for bringing this to our attention. Reneging an offer is already annoying on our end to re-interview new candidates but lying is terrible and it definitely tarnishes the school's reputation. Not sure if BBs will follow but I also have a contact at PJT who said he won't be accepting any cold emails from Kelley kids.

do you go to a top public target? pretty sure I know exactly who youre talking about

Do you know what ended up happening to the Indian PWP kid?

As a 100% Asian Indian I hope that kid doesn't get a return offer and fails to successfully recruit

I’m just glad we aren’t as crazy in Europe as the US. The shit I have read in here bc of this situation, of whole banks not recruiting from a school bc a kid reneged or others saying they’ll ruin the lives of a kid stating he’s Hispanic when he is white (which btw is extremely more common than some think) seems so bizarre to me

As a Kelley kid this whole saga is pure comedy. Firms that blacklist us over this pussy shit are places I wouldn’t want to work at anyways
