Start Date Concerns - Advice?

Class of 2024 graduate here, I've already accepted an offer at a great consulting firm however my concerns about an incredibly late start date are growing. Rumor is the class above me has been pushed off close to a year and a half since graduation, and my potential start date seems like it could be anywhere from 6 to 18 months after my graduation with little to no certainty. At first, I was excited because I'd have my summer to myself and then enter the corporate world after a healthy break. However, now I'm having growing concerns I'm gonna be unemployed for like 2 years.

This might seem like a dream to some people who've had their nose to the grindstone for some time but I kind of want to get my life started and the uncertainty is killing me. It's also going to be a challenge to find a real job for the time being considering I stopped recruiting after signing, it's currently a tough market, and I have no clue how long I'll be able to work because of uncertainty with my start date.

Does anyone have advice? I don't want to sound ungrateful at all because I realize I'm in a pretty privileged position, but I don't know if it's worth looking elsewhere, if this is gonna blow over, or if I should just shut up and do something fun/different with my break. I know a lot of other firms didn't even take a class for my year so I'm also a little concerned if I'll still have my job in 12 months.
