Stay on 3 year course or switch to 4?

Guys do you think it’s worth it switching to a 4-year course (placement year) and apply to springs again or should I just stay on 3 years and apply for summers straight?

I think I have a pretty decent CV (completely different from when I applied to springs) This summer, I have a finance internship at a mid-sized developer and over the course of year 1 I’ve founded an investment fund with around 15 clients and 25k in AUM. I’ve also gotten exec positions at societies and sports clubs at university.

All this makes me confident I could land springs this application cycle and I think my chances of breaking into IB/PE would be better doing that than applying for summers straight but idk if it’s necessary. I also could end up with a shit placement and no springs which would put me in an arguably worse position for summer applications next year.

any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
