STEM major at a target... consulting or IB internship?
I'm a rising junior at a top target (one of WHYPS) and I'm doing doing a STEM major that's regarded as difficult. I've had some very strong STEM internships and I participate in a range of extra-curriculars. However, I have no business experience. I've recently decided to consider consulting and investment banking seriously as I think they play to my analytical strengths. Consequently, I would love to apply for summer internships to better understand these industries.
Given that I have no business internships, do people have any recommendations about how to market my STEM experiences? I've taken a few economics classes but not too many. Will I be at a disadvantage due to my coursework, and if so, is there a way to compensate for this so late in my college years?
