Struggling to find a job, looking for networking cold emailing advice

Whats going on everyone.

I'm a recent graduate with a BS in Business Administration and am really struggling to get my foot in the door somewhere within the financial industry. To provide a little background, I graduated from one of the smallest non-target schools in the nation. I originally attended a large state school out of high school and ended up partying to much, my GPA began falling fast so I decided to transfer somewhere to play baseball to restructure my life. The only school to accept me to play with my terribly low GPA was the small non-target I just graduated from. So I essentially screwed myself.

The school I graduated from did not have a finance major, barely any finance classes and has 0 alumni in the financial industry. However, I have always been interested in the industry and had to work with my advisor to provide me with independent classes/studies around my interest. I ended up getting an internship at a small wealth management firm my junior year, completed the wall street prep course dealing with modeling and I also started an investment club with small student managed equity fund but that is it.

So now I am here trying to figure out what I need to do. I've applied to 60+ jobs already with only one response from a firm outside my area for a wealth management development program. I would like to start cold emailing and explaining my story to see if I get any bites but I'm not sure where to start. What kind of people should I look for to email? Recruiters? Bankers (what level)? etc.

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
