Studied abroad, couldn't apply, but need summer internship

So I was abroad both this last summer and this fall. I tried applying to some consulting and finance positions, and got first round and a couple but couldn't follow through due to limited internet access or the fact that I was abroad. I really need an internship this summer, ideally in consulting or finance, but I don't know what to do or what firms are recruiting in the spring/what applications are still open.

A bit about me: 4.0 at target school studying biology, no economics/finance experience except for some budget management and grant work. Very research-based experiences in the sciences, but I don't want to do science anymore.

My question is essentially where do I look, and what can I do. I haven't been able to network at all and I'm feeling very ill-equipped to break into finance or consulting, especially with my limited experience. Any help would be amazing.

And you're a junior?

I studied abroad twice and didn't do an internship (FT offer to consulting). But, I was a business major. I think you could still get there, but this internship would really help you.

Can you just broaden your search to the whole nation, with an emphasis on NYC? You might have to fly out a few times during your search. I'd hit Indeed and your Alumni network hard. Also, doing finance/consulting in healthcare might give you an edge.

Thank you for the the reply. Yes I am a junior, and I would definitely be looking for a FT offer to consulting after college, but worry I may not be presenting myself in the best of ways without an internship. I've heard it's common to get FT offers for consulting without an internship with the company, as least more so than with banking, but I wonder how much of a problem it is that I absolutely wont have a notable consulting internship when applying next year. I've definitely broadened my search a lot, and am applying to most things on my career connections with my school. Do you have any companies in mind when recommending Healthcare work that might have applications still open? Thanks again for the response!
