Switch from MO to BO?

I'm a 21 year old undergrad with a couple of months of experience in MO at a BB. I received an offer from another BB with a significant pay hike for a back office role. Eventually, I do want to aim for a FO role after an MBA

I'm not sure if this would be the right move? The pay is a plus and I also do feel I'd get to learn a lot in BO and build a strong base.

Not sure if i'm being downright stupid here and i need advice!

What is the job? Would you like the job and/or is it necessary to gain experience at the job for you to get where you ultimately want to go?

This whole FO/MO/BO mindset is ridiculous. FO essentially means you're in a revenue producing role. Only so many people can and will do that. The others are essential for a business to function. Businesses have essentially two main buckets: Working in the business (FO) and working on the business (BO/MO). All those corporate finance positions, including the CFO, would count as working on the business. The CFO will make way more money than most of those working in the business (unless we're talking HF manager or something like that) and likely never had a FO spot. They come from accounting, corp fin (FP&A, treasury, etc).

If you want to be a banker, go FO. If you want to be in a critical role that runs the business, be MO/BO. They're both awesome. It's really way more about what you want to do.
