There's a hole in my plan. But even if that is filled, does my plan makes any sense?
Hey everyone!
I'm (29M, Indian, single, unmarried, no debts) planning to pursue a master's in finance from a German university, work in Germany for 4-5 years to pay off my financial debts and gain some experience, and return back to India. I have a non-finance background (graduated as a Mechanical Engineer) and have 4.5 years of work experience in the market research/financial services KPO firms in India. At present, I hold the position of Senior Associate, which is three levels higher than the entry level Analyst role. My compensation, which stands at 10LPA, falls within the average range for the industry. Additionally, I do not have any specific preferences for FO/MO/BO roles within the finance or consulting domain in Germany, and I am open to learning German if the suitable positions in the FO/MO/BO require it.
The Hole: I'm not sure WHAT are that SUITABLE ROLES within the finance or consulting domain in Germany that would allow me to transition to a comparable position in India in the future, or that would hold significant value in the Indian job market. Additionally, I am uncertain whether my plan is sensible, considering the time, effort, and financial risk involved.
Any advice and comments on the hole and my plan would be very helpful and appreciated.
Thanks!
