To the victims of high-paying shitty jobs
Hi All,
I came across this article titled "To the victims of high-paying shitty jobs" : www.loner22. com/2018/04/05/high-paying-shitty-jobs/ (remove space before ".com")
I think it's very relevant to the WSO community, so I figured I'd share it. It puts things into perspective well.
Great read and it's true. Money over the long-term doesn't help job satisfaction. Hertzberg, Maslow, Skinner, Vroom and Williams are all behavioural economics or organisational behaviour scientists that conducted extensive research on motivation theories placing money pretty low.
It is viewed by many as a means to an end; the problem is that it becomes perpetual.
Life is short and it is not guaranteed. It's tough to rationalize professional misery once you truly appreciate that.
