Turning 30, CFA Charterholder, Building Models—Still Job Hunting. Any Advice?

Hey everyone,

I just turned 30 and recently earned my CFA charter. To stay sharp and improve my technical skills, I purchased the WSPREP modeling course and have been building personal models on various companies. Despite this, I’m still on the job hunt and struggling to break into a role in equity research, asset management, or a similar investing-focused position.

For those who’ve been in a similar position or have successfully made the transition—what worked for you? Any tips on networking, improving my approach, or refining my pitch to hiring managers?

Appreciate any insights!
