Weirdo interviewer grilled me on my visa status and political views
I can't help but feel this must be the most cringeworthy interview I've ever had so far. It was for an FP&A role but the interviewer didn't ask a single question that was related to the position itself or finance at all. Instead, he spent the entire interview grilling me on my visa status (I'm an international student) and my political views. He literally asked me how I view the relations between the US and my home country and should the Biden administration change its policy on certain issues. And what's more ridiculous was that he assumed I came from a "well-connected family" as I could afford the tuition of the college I attended. I managed to answer some of his nonsensical questions, but I found the whole interview utterly nauseating.
