Worried About Return Offer

I'm only 3 weeks into my internship and have only been working with my team for a week but I'm worried I won't get a return offer. Are there any common signs that they won't want me back? I've been assigned some slides to make and it's taken 2-3 rounds of edits to get them to where they were good and I have a lot of anxiety that the expectation is they were perfect on the first go so I've been feeling very scared. How can I ask for feedback on the work I'm doing.

You should be asking for weekly feedback from your manager/staffer anyway. Why aren't you/haven't you been doing that?

This is really helpful. I've only been with the team for a week so I will go ahead and ask for a check-in on Monday. Would you mind sharing how I should frame asking for it? And should I ask my staffer or should I ask the analyst/associate I've been working with?

You should ask your STAFFER.

"Hi,

I was wondering if we could have a catch up weekly on my progress and how I'm doing, ad well as feedbacl"

Etc

Way too early to judge a kid in one week. Between now and your midsummer, just do all the little things right: taking diligent notes on calls without being asked, pull the financial statements / any relevant ESG reports if applicable, asking questions, asking for more work, showing up on time, asking if you can help before leaving / lunch, etc. that’s all that really matters in the first half anyways. Definitely asked for feedback from your manager / any assigned mentors in your group if you have one. Some groups aren’t as good at giving feedback (people get busy / forget / aren’t as much of a feedback type group). So just keep a list of your mistakes and ask for ways to improve especially after deliverables. I wouldn’t worry about the slides that much, there’s almost always comments. The question is what the comments really are (are they executive summary text or something formatting / detail oriented you missed and should’ve known?) You’ll get better making slides every time you do it, and if you make a list of your mistakes, you’ll have a mini checklist for yourself so you don’t repeat it next time. I think what’s important is that you improve. So again, wouldn’t really worry 1 week in.
