I see way too much contentment on this forum. People who are happy, finding meaning, and balancing work and life.
Just because you make more and have better lifestyle potential than 99.99% of humans in world history, doesn’t mean you should rest on your laurels and be happy. Misery and discontentment is the only way to extract every ounce of shareholder value from your corpse.
Just wanted to get this off my chest because I hate seeing all this positivity on here. Makes me sick.
Don’t worry I make sure all my friends know how much harder my job is than theirs and how much better I am than them

This isn't said enough. Everyone likes to talk about their exit number or celebrating their BB/PE/HF offer. Sit your Pollyanna, gratitude-having ass back down- there are kids in the middle east with their own jets and you're grateful to have $1M/year and modest carry? The egalitarianism on this board makes me sick.
