Annoying boss during vacation
I work at a small fund, and I cover a handful of names. Because I cover them, I'm expected to stay on top of them, for example, keeping up with earnings even when I'm out on vacation. That's fine with me. BUT I am annoyed when my PM casually emails me random shit like, "wow, did you ever check our this company or that company, its cheap, etc " during my vacation. I usually keep my work email notifications on just to make sure nothing urgent happens, but it's SUPER annoying when he asks me random shit through email when I clearly don't want to be contacted. I've replied to him so far, but I didn't come on vacation to think about investing and work. How do I go about this? Ignore him until the last day? Reply at the end of each day?

You want to be responsive, but if a chain convo starts, back off. Try to ignore him/her, but if he/she persists, you might want to say something.
Also, work on your non-committal bullshitting to convey interest in statements without actually saying anything.
ie. "wow did you check out this company, its super cheap"
reponse: "thanks for the send! definitely something to think about."
more committed response: "thanks for the send! definitely something to think about. I'll look into it."
and so on....
Work on ways of letting your boss know that you're paying attention to his/her statements and emails, but you can limit the amount of work you're putting on your shoulders by giving a bit of fluffer language on vacation.
If you have all the emails on your phone, you should be able to divert with ease, no problem, in a taxi on the way to your next destination on your travels.
I've had my computer die (motherboard) in another country affecting my deadlines and it was a real shit show. My company had international overnight delivery (of a replacement computer), but I was 2 hours away from a major city (no mail in my city) in the middle of nowhere in Mexico, at a beach surfing... lol

I don't want to sound like some high school hardo but in almost every fund I have ever worked at the PM's were thinking about ideas/positions all the time. One PM told me when I joined his fund (my first ever HF job) that this business is an 8 day a week 25 hour job and to some degree that is the case when you live or die by your performance. I agree it's a pain to be contacted on holiday over trivial stuff but sometimes you have to just put up with it if you work for one of those kind of PMs.
I don't think he likes u, but he likes people to work. Warn him when u go on vacation that u'll turn off all notifications and even if something urgent happens, you will still not answer.
