Blondies - above average sized wings, in an old school sports bar on the UWS with relatively cheap drinks. Variety of wing flavor options, but I stick to the classic buffalo.

Old Town Bar - pre-prohibition Irish pub vibes. Great place to roll up to towards the end of the night to crush a few beers and eat wings. Only one option and they frequently run out because every drunk ass clown orders these here.

Mudville 9 - interesting mix of dry rub and sauce options (jerk / lemon pepper / etc.). Not too expensive, loads of beers on draft, and also decent place to catch a game.

Triona’s On Third - honorable mention. Hooked up with a ~50-60+ year old NYU professor I met here while eating wings at 2PM on Thursday. 10/10.

Not quite. We were basically the only people sitting at the bar. Found out we went to the same college for undergrad and struck up a conversation about clinical research trials (I was a stem major / she was in the biomechanics department).

5-6 yuenglings later (finished a Drs appt early and wanted to be a shitbag for a bit) we exchange numbers because I shared some science article with her or something like that.

2-3 weeks later we decided to grab more drinks and things went from 0-50.

For context this was pre-pandemic era NYC - feel like people are less open to conversing with total strangers nowadays. She also paid for the wings in case you were wondering.

Head to harlem it's the fried food mecca of NYC/Manhattan

Melbas, BLVD bistro, harlem tavern, the fox, Texas chicken and burgers (its a local fast food chain it's everywhere), Charles pan fried chicken.

Rowdy rooster in East village (and midtown now I think?) Indian fried chicken.
