Anyone here get furloughed?

I got furloughed. In a weird situation because I don't know when when and even if I will be start work again. Our workload in general has greatly diminished and I don't know if the company would rather just wait even after Covid is done to see if we can come back. What's everyone else thinking? I have this feeling companies are going to use this opportunity to cut expenses.

Boss just called. Really good guy. He said he had no say in the decision and seemed mad about the whole thing. Apparently there are hundreds of calls like this going out right now. I dont mind being furloughed, just trying to get a gauge from those in similar situations what they are seeing as far as timing before returning back to employment.

That's rough. Sorry to hear. I don't know anyone in finance that has been furloughed, but it seems like all my friends outside of finance (film, advertising, event planning, fashion, etc.) are on it.
