Best leave it all behind job?
Everyone knows the feeling, you just got back from a long vacation at some sweet remote destination and you think to yourself "fuck it, I should leave it all behind and just be a..." - bartender, surf shop worker, etc.
Thoughts on the best non-traditional job out there?

I like the 420 industry. Specifically growing premium strains.
What’s with everyone’s obsession here lately of working as a surf instructor/surf shop 🤣
Because working in corporate America has to be the most passionless, mind-numbing, soul sucking drudgery anyone can put themselves through.
Coming directly from someone who works in corporate America and doesn’t have the sack to leave and take a risk on something I actually care about
Office work sucks.
Most people I know have a “fuck it, if I hit $X I’ll quit and do Y”
Most don’t follow through, but the dream gets you through the day.
Because people go on vacation, surf, and think "this is awesome I should do this all the time" and aren't intelligent or reflective enough to remember that they're on fucking vacation. Working as a surf instructor is still work, but since this numbskulls do it for fun they don't understand that no matter how fun an activity may be, once it's your job, it loses a lot of it's charm.
Being a ski or surf bum for a few months or a year might be really fun in your 20s. Doing it full time, having to worry about paying your bills or what happens if you get injured or do you have anything saved for retirement... seems a lot less fun.

Lobster fisherman in Maine
I had this discussion a while back with my friends: if all jobs paid the same, what would you do?
Mines gotta be either ski guide in the Rockies or spear fisherman in some tropical place
I would be a mathematics professor
Adjunct professor at one of the following (no particular order):
This is assuming that money isn't a factor in this. Reason for adjunct is that you only need to teach a couple classes and they're likely the fun elective classes.
If you're going to list in no particular order, you don't use numbers, you use bullets. Facepalm.
Interesting choices.... wonder what influenced this
Warm weather, coastal, beautiful campuses, and nice areas (Coral Gables, Santa Barbara, Westwood, Malibu). However, USC is an exception since it's not in a nice neighborhood although its easy to get there from one.
Becoming the starter at a golf course in Hawaii.
How about working in esports field
Landscaper
Club pro at a nice course
Kayaking at tourist destinations
Ocean kayaking, lake kayaking, or whitewater kayaking?
College football media reporter, writer and/or prognosticator
