I believe in taking care of myself, in a balanced diet and a rigorous exercise routine. In the morning, if my face is a little puffy, I'll put on an ice pack while doing my stomach crunches. I can do a thousand now. After I remove the ice pack, I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower, I use a water activated gel cleanser. Then a honey almond body scrub. And on the face, an exfoliating gel scrub. Then apply an herb mint facial mask, which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an aftershave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.

Few things:

1. Almond butter 30-60 min before bed - put it in a shake or on celery or something. The highly dense food makes it so your blood sugar isn’t as low the moment you wake up.

2. Get a Philips Blue Light, set a timer for 20-30 min before your true wake up time to turn it on. It mimicks the sun and tells your brain to release “wake-up” chemicals (I forget the exact ones, google if u want o learn more)

3. Expensive option, but I have a Chilipad that cools my bed throughout the night to improve my quality of sleep. It also has a warm wake-up feature where it starts to pump hot water through, again mimicking the sun.

even with all this, it’s not “easy” to wake up after a sweaty week, but boy it helps a ton.

There's a neuroscientist I listened to recently (Andrew D. Huberman) who talked about how we sleep in 90 minute cycles with different stages in each cycle. He advised if you want to wake up less groggy, try choosing what time you want to wake up then chunk back your sleep time till you arrive at a suitable bed time. For example if you want to wake up at 06:00, aim to be asleep by 22:30 or 00:00. Have been trying it myself recently and it's been working like a dream!

Yeah I sleep in 90min cycles too. About 10.5hrs - lol - 😂😂😂

Sleep is a luxury. I value it highly. It is anti aging. I didn’t really sleep from age 18 - 28 so am catching up now... 🙏🏼

Is this with an Apple watch or what? I don't have an Apple Watch, but when I check my phone sometime after my alarm-based bedtime, it fucks up how much I actually slept for and sometimes shows I only slept an hour or so, idk how to get it to be accurate all the time.

I find showering in the morning to be helpful. Also going out for a quick walk. Your brain is probably still not used to your  bedroom being your work office.

keep in mind I'm assuming your sole focus is sleep, if you have to compromise on these things your quality will decline

1. sleep cycle, find yours and only sleep in increments of that. for example, if your cycle is 90 mins like mine is and like most other people, I sleep better on 6 hours of sleep versus 7, better with 7.5 versus 8.5, and surprisingly enough 4.5 better than 5.5.

2. limit alcohol, period. do not drink except friday and saturday nights

3. limit all digital devices. after work, I would not use my iphone, a TV, computer, etc.

4. light and temp - keep your room cool and dark aside from a soft warm lamp on your bedside table. upon your alarm going off, immediately open your curtains to allow natural light in

5. read books before and in bed

6. be in shape. exercise daily (or at least 4x a week intensely), eat as much unprocessed foods as possible.

I noticed that during times when I couldn't increase the volume or make my schedule less crazy, what helped me most personally was cutting alcohol, followed closely by screen time

expanding on the sleep cycle point above, there's also apps you can get on your phone that will track your sleep cycles throughout the night (by sensing movement, others connected to a smartwatch/other device) and you can set the time you need to be awake by.  then it will wake you up at the end of one of your cycles before you have to be awake by so that you won't getting shocked out of a deep sleep and feeling extra groggy. (so if you have to be awake by 6am, but your cycle is ending at 5:40, it would sense that and wake you up then.)  I know multiple people who have used this and worked really well for them being more awake in the first few hours of the day

Put your alarm clock far away from your bed so you are forced to get up and turn it off. When you turn the alarm clock off, immediately open up a curtain and get some sunlight on your face. Snoozing so you can roll around in bed makes you more groggy throughout the morning. If you "shock" your body from sleep, you'll feel better throughout the day.

I usually wake up 30min before getting out of bed and chug a bunch of water before getting up. Then I get up and have CBD and then espresso with dark chocolate almond milk and after that feel pretty good.

Pre-Workout, Bang Energy, or Reign Energy.  A heavy 300mg of caffeine to start your day

Huge believer that an hour of exercise is just as good as an hour of sleep. It will wake you up and the mental benefits from waking up and exercising are unmatched. Not to mention the physical benefits - especially w fasted exercise. Yes it’s painful to start this habit but I guarantee if you give it a good effort for three weeks you’ll never go back

I run in the morning, I feel like it wakes me up better. If I have time I’ll hop in the sauna for 30 min or so and then finish with a cold shower. Depending on how far you run you can get all of this done in an hour or less. If you’re not awake after that I can’t help you. Yes it sucks when you first start just don’t be a pussy and stick with it.
