CFA® June Exams and COVID-19

I know the CFA® I hasn't stated more definitively yet whether they're going to postpone the June 2020 exams or if they're still going to happen as scheduled, only that they're still monitoring events. I don't want to speculate too much, but what do you guys think is most likely going to happen? If anyone has any insight, that would be appreciated.

My crazy ideas as to what may happen: 1. CFA take a global approach and defer all exams until some date (not too far out) that is conditional on improving circumstances. 2. CFA take a local approach by allowing exams to be administered only in countries that permit large public gatherings, as dictated by local governments. Candidates from other countries will have their exams deferred. 3. They defer all exams indefinitely and offer refunds to all candidates

A few considerations if the exams get deferred or cancelled: - How will 3rd party service providers (e.g. Schweser) respond? Some providers offer digital licenses for accessing course materials that expire shortly after the June 6th exam date. Will they be extending the terms of these licenses? - Will this impact the minimum passing score now that candidates will have more time to study? Would if be fair to candidates if the minimum passing score is increased? Would candidates even be made aware of a MPS that is greater than the historical average?

Very stressful situation. I write this as I contemplate whether I should even continue with my rigorous study schedule... At this point, I don't even know which of the above scenarios i'd prefer.

From what I've seen, Schweser has moved its classes online. I'm supposed to take one of its 3 day reviews in May, but I haven't received anything changed about that just yet.

This is definitely stressing, since people have to deal with everything that's been happening too. That being said, having to reschedule all the spaces that host the exams is going to be hard too, but I hope that the CFAI doesn't do anything at the cost of human lives. I'm guessing everyone would just like a definitive answer so we all know where to allocate our time (probably to prevent active deals from dying lol).

I will wear a fucking hazmat suit if I have to because this virus is not going to delay any more of my life.

Yeah it's going to be in December. You should have gotten the email from the CFAI last Wednesday.
