Just a shout out to everyone on this site for a job well-done. I've only been here a few months, not even, but have learned a few things, been entertained quite a bit, and have had complete strangers address questions and issues in addition to giving me advice when asked.
I think this is a great community and I look forward to utilizing more of the site and features in the upcoming year. While I think anonymity is entertaining, maybe some of us will cross paths in the vis a vis world at some point.
Big props some the BSD banana guys here who are obviously huge contributors to the site.

For your edification, It means face to face. In other words, talking to everyone online is fun and maybe we'll meet outside of the internet in "reality".

If you're using it colloquially, it means "with regards to." Yes, its etymology is French, in which it means face-to-face, but there are still three problems with using it the way you did. Firstly, when using a foreign phrase that is not in the colloquial, or differently than its colloquial meaning, it should be italicised. Secondly, vis-a-vis is an adverb (or noun), and as such does not work in the context in which it is used (that is, as an adjective). Thirdly, when you use superfluous foreign words and then have to argue about their meaning, they've failed their original purpose. But congrats on actually knowing what it means.
Next time though, just write IRL .
