Cold Brew Concentrate Recipe

So I have got into the cold brew concentrate thing and I am saving so much money on coffee. Basically what I do is take a 1-pint mason jar, then fill 1/3 of it with instant coffee then add boiling water to the other 2/3. Shake well then leave it in the fridge overnight. One of these lasts me about a month at work because all you need is a splash or two of it in a cup of ice water.

I would love to hear if anyone else does something similar or if there are any ways to improve my method.

And before anyone tells me to "Just buy a cup of coffee" I am a college student working for the government of one of the poorest states in the nation.

I make iced coffee with espresso and dark chocolate almond milk. Instant coffee sounds disgusting.

you've got it wrong.  Instant coffee IS disgusting

I'll do an iced coffee with a double from my ancient Saeco Incanto with TJ's medium beans if at home (basically the same as yours)  I prefer FairLife skim over almond tho.  13g protein per cup for 80cal vs. 30 & 0 for the almond (foams a lot better too)  I save my almond for the chocolate/pb protein smoothies.

OP: where did life wrong you?  If I'm in the office I'll either have our La Columbe nitro cold brew (I'm a black coffee guy but cold brew need milk) or a quad For-5 espresso over ice.  from what I hear the Goldman and Jane guys down the block don't do any better than us.

The only difference between Asset Management and Investment Research is assets. I generally see somebody I know on TV on Bloomberg/CNBC etc. once or twice a week. This sounds cool, until I remind myself that I see somebody I know on ESPN five days a week.

What’s the caffeine per serving? How does the taste compare to your average cup of coffee? (Not gas station coffee, but say, pike place or similar)

the caffeine per serving has to be fairly high, they get me wired. The taste is probably atrocious but I started drinking day-old black pour-over at work when I was 16. This recipe is not for the faint of heart.

This is a solid method, but pretty sure instant coffee/cold brew only lasts 10 days - 2 weeks MAX in the fridge... a month seems like a very long time
