Do you shower everyday?

This topic came up with a friend. I shower probably once a week on average, usually every Sunday. My friend couldn’t believe it and said he does it everyday and he feels dirty if he doesn’t.

Do you guys shower everyday or about once a week like I do?

No. Why would I? I clean my ass with water all the time after pooing and I don't sweat much so why? I shower every couple of days.

That’s basically what I told him, except I use baby wipes.

Obviously if I have done some exercise, I will shower. But just going about my day passively... Like working and what not? I'm not sweating or anything... I can live with showering every couple of days. You know there are some people walking around here and they shower everyday, but they also clean themselves only by wiping only like a few times and call it a day, and walk around with their cheeks browning themselves... I think that's worse than not showering everyday!

I shower everyday. Sometimes 2x per day depending on workouts.

Yes every day when I wake up. I don't know how people feel clean and awake otherwise.

How else can you start your day? Even a lazy Sunday just watching March Madness with the gf's dog?

Well after a week or so of not shampooing your hair it will actually look better and stay naturally clean, you just need to rise the dirt out after that.  People have been hypnotized by shampoo commercials into thinking they need to shampoo their hair daily.  I might shampoo mine once a week when my hair gets long, and even then I only use bar shampoo that doesn't strip the oils.  The reason your hair feels greasy is becuase your scalp is over producing oils to try and replace what was lost.  You then get excess and it causes the greasy feel.  It will be an uncomfortable week but after that it stabilizes and you can go weeks without shampooing your hair or longer if it is short.

mf what? 2x a day for me, can't imagine showering ONCE A WEEK. Do you also sleep with your shoes on?

I am clean though bro. I mentioned it in another reply, but the only smell I can sense is a little bit from the crotch after maybe 3-4 days. But I have to be nude and get pretty close to the area, so it is a non-issue when working or meeting someone. Idk if the pants/underwear cover the smell but it doesn't show up at all during my day.

Surprised to hear some of you do it 2x a day. I do some workouts and usually go for long walks each day, but still only shower about once a week.

I keep my hair short so it doesn’t get greasy. No one has told me I smell, even after my long walks/cardio. I do wear deodorant too.

I went to a CFA L2 study session with someone I just met in person from an online finance forum. He had a stench and it was almost unbearable sitting next to him and I couldn’t focus the whole time. I almost had to move but stayed.

Depends on where you’re from. People from countries with lack of access to warm water won’t shower as much. If you’re south Asian or certain mid east though ethnically I recommend every day cuz the pores for us are sweaty as shit, same for whites. Only East Asians can get away without showering every day.

I shower 1x per day, mostly due to working out.  I could probably skip the shower when I don’t work out but then I do it for the hair.

My default is 1x per day before bed. I use shampoo/conditioner every other day though, my hair seems to be happier since I stopped thoroughly washing it every day?

If you are using products that are loaded with chemicals, frequency of use of shampoo and conditioner probably matters quite a bit.  If you are using products that are natural, I do not think frequency matters all that much.

I would say I'm usually using semi-target shampoo. You know, stuff like herbal essence. Not dial but not some niche $12 bottle either

If you don't shower everyday you are dirty simple as that

I am clean and I do not smell though. So I am not dirty.

Ok, genuine question here after seeing several of these responses. Showering 2x a day can actually dry out your skin ironically. And yes I looked up the how, what and why. So I'm just curious why don't you workout first thing, or last thing, in the day and then shower after?

Dude wtf... I wouldn't want to sit close to you in the office

I smell fine though, no one has ever said anything to me. The only time I can tell is after a few days of not showering, there is a slight smell down near my package. But I only smell it when my underwear is off and I'm up close to it, so it is a non-issue in the work environment. My scalp does get a little itchy too but that is about after 5-6 days so I know it's time to shower.

I shower every weekday morning no matter what, if I know I am not going out on a weekend sometimes I don't shower then but once anything comes up that involves me meeting people I shower. The only time I shower in the evening is if i had a sweaty workout.

Sometimes it feels nice to "let myself go" and not shower for 2 days max but like I said i'll be stuck inside and not going to the office and shaking people's hands etc.

I think the guy who said once a week is trolling.
