Excel World Cup Finalist Training

Ignore Title, what excel functions do you actually use (e.g. Index Match > XLookup, VLookup, etc.)?

I'm an intern btw, trying to figure out what funcs are most useful/time-efficient

Using this information I hope to become a finalist in Excel World Cup 2029

INDEX-MATCH > VLOOKUP, but XLOOKUP’s cleaner if your firm uses 365. Other big ones: SUMIFS, IFERROR, TEXT, LEFT/RIGHT/MID, EOMONTH, and some combo of OFFSET + INDIRECT if you're feeling spicy. Also, get stupid fast with shortcuts—functions matter, but speed wins.
