Odd questions but looking for a good quote that subtly reminds you stay humble or remember your roots
Sign up for an endurance race. Like a 50mi Ultra run or Half Ironman triathlon - you will learn humility firsthand. Good luck.

“If the worst day in your life has you with a sheltered roof, running water, and food in the fridge, then I’d say you’ve had a pretty good life thus far.” - this is a quote on perspective - it is not intended to dismiss your problems, but give you the motivation and discipline to face them.
live as if you were living for a second time, and as though you had acted wrongly the first time - Viktor Frankl
for me personally, exposing myself to difficult things or things that are bigger than me keeps me humble. I surround myself with people who are more successful, spend a lot of time in the ocean (the ocean by itself is humbling), have made it a point to learn about the magnitude of the universe and everything that goes with it, and humility is the opposite of one of the 7 deadly sins (pride) which is a huge part of how I try (I need to get better at this) to live my life.
finally, the universe has a funny way of humbling me when I'm straying too far. whether it's a big wave that smashes me, a pitch I don't win, or something else, I try to look at each negative experience as a reminder that I'm nothing, and I need to stay humble, or else I will be humbled

Just had my trade dispute rejected by Schwab for a loss of 35k. This single issue alone should be a gigantic red flag to anyone who trades on their platform.
If they have a system error, and you do not video record your trading (they actually said this), they will not honour their fuck up. Switching everything away from them. Fuck this company.

It is not a quote, however I want share it because it is also about remembering the roots and being humble.
I have a type of bracelet in my left hand already for 18 years (I am 18 years old). This bracelet is very simple just thin blue rope and old colorful stones (black, red, blue). It was in the hand of my father and before that in the hand of my grandma. My father side has very humble beginnings; they are from mountanious village without having any gas until recent years. I keep this bracelet in my hand to never forget where my real roots are. No matter where I will end up, I want to remember my roots.

You have to trust in something - your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life."
"Sometimes life hits you in the head with a brick. Don't lose faith."
"Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart."

That's perfect. My mom has humble roots, and now I might do something similar. Thanks
Thank you, and I am glad that you found if useful.

Indirectly related but I love this quote
All these are Steve Jobs quotes but all gems.

I just like the quote, not necessarily humbling.
Treat your men like sons and they will walk with you to the deepest of valleys.
Be the kindest and most hardworking version of yourself because there will always be someone prettier, kinder and more hardworking than you.
